Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas - if anyone happens to be online that is! I think most areas got a nice shot of snow earlier today, only a few hours earlier than the TeagueCast mentioned a few days ago. Interesting that many TV stations only said we'd see sticking snow above 1000' today. A brief and slight warm up this afternoon but once the front pushes through some colder air comes back in and we'll see some more snow showers - somewhat spotty in nature but some accumulations under the heavier showers from one neighborhood to the next starting later tonight through tomorrow morning.

Thursday is now looking pretty interesting. Hopefully I can hook up my new weather station that Santa (Nicole) brought me in time. We'll have a cold air mass in place going into thursday with a front approaching and this has the potential to bring a good shot of snow to the Portland Metro area. More later when I've had a chance to look things over in a bit more detail.......

Need to report we braved it out of Belfair with close to 2 inches on the ground when we left. Heavy showers from Belfair through the bananna belt in Centralia and Chehalis. It was a perfect day for travel.

Once you get your weather station hooked up, make sure you come and set up mine!!

I'm live at 23:13! 36.7 degrees, 76% RH, 29.74" barometric pressure, Dewpoint 32 degrees, 74 degrees inside and 41% RH. Rain and wind gauge will have to wait a while, will probably set up rain gauge this weekend.
