TGIF TeagueCast

Edit 1/30

Hmmmm, not the most accurate forecast ever, but not too bad. The heavier snow showers did pan out for many areas but the Klingon snowshield around Vancouver didn't de-activate in time. So the comment of "while 20 miles away waits for their turn" was especially appropriate with all the snow over the weekend not too far south and east of PDX......still waiting.

This Saturday looks interesting as the incoming storm is likely a snow maker for either Western WA or maybe even areas a bit south, not sure yet! And for the record I will go for one more cold spell before the winter is over, probably late February into March for those keeping score at home.

Snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain? All of the above is on the way! Looks like most areas will see some snow the first half of saturday, and then mixed precip as the air mass modifies - but only temporarily! Computer models are set on just enough warming tomorrow afternoon to change things to liquid sunshine, which is probably the most realistic idea, but if incorrect some areas will see a much bigger mess than expected.

Cold air and showers push back in late saturday night/early sunday and this should change things back to mainly off and on snow showers, with snow showers continuing into Monday. This is one of those set ups where heavy showers will give one area a blanket of the good stuff, while 20 miles away waits for their turn. Areas above 500' should see plenty of moderate snow showers sunday and monday.

Another storm enters the picture tuesday and I'll update over the weekend for that. All in all, good odds for several intervals of sticking snow through monday! For the Couve I'll say at least a few inches of snow by Monday. Is that vague enough?!
