Last friday in true weather geek fashion I attended the "What Will the Winter Be Like" AMS meeting at OMSI. You can look up the various forecasts here:

There was a very interesting character in attendance who after each presentation nervously asked the meteorologists about chemtrails. The chemtrail conspiracy theory has to due with the idea that instead of regular jet contrails the government is actually releasing chemical substances to promote global dimming and/or population control.

After the conference I heard that this same lady was going around the room warning everyone about secret cameras hidden in the ties of various meteorologists. Good stuff!!
