Have I happened to mention??

How much I love my Kindle lately? A lot of you may know I had been coveting this item for a long time and starting saving $$ for it since July. Well, due to the continuing recession, Amazon had lowered the price twice last year and I was able to fund the purchase a few weeks before Christmas. I'm still so very excited about it.

This amazing piece of electronics appeals to my loves of reading and organizing with a throw-back to my ol' hometown (tree-hugging PDX) by reducing my carbon footprint. Oh, there are still tons of actual books in the house, but at least I won't be purchasing any more of the paper variety.

Not only can I read anywhere (since it fits neatly in my purse), but I can read whatever book I want depending on my mood without having to lug it around---very handy having my Bible on it too when heading to church (since steering the Rak's needs both hands at all times). And, when someone mentions a book that I'm interested in, I've already ordered & received it before their description has ended. You know how impatient I can be :)

Anyway, if you're looking to hit the next wave of the future (paperless reading), I'm happy to give the 2nd edition of the Amazon Kindle an enthusiastic thumbs-up. The super-cute hot pink carrying case doesn't hurt either ;-) Happy reading!
