You know you're slacking when.....

Your 15-year old nephew sends you a Facebook message jonesing for a blog update. Well, I don't have anything profound or specific, so I'll just give some random, sporadic updates:

-Dylan is STILL not potty-trained. If #2 wasn't an option, we'd be closer, but my latest tactic is telling him he can't go to preschool in September unless he stops 'going' in his diaper/pullup. This actually may work, because although it's still 4+ months away, he talks about going to preschool pretty much everyday.

-As of yesterday, 3rd Rak is about 11 inches in length, a little over 1lb and the size of a large mango. This kid is crazy active a large amount of the day making me more than a little nervous. Is it possible to have more energy than Dylan??? So far, this kid does. Yikes!

-I'm still right on track of reading the Bible through in a year. I'm in Judges for the Old Testament (Old Testament continues to bore me for the most part....just being honest and God already knows it each day when I'm reading), will start the gospel of John tomorrow and the Psalms and Proverbs are still part of the schedule. I did my annual screening of "The Passion of the Christ" over Easter weekend and still can't get used the graphic nature of it all. If you ever forget what this blessed man did for you and your salvation, please ask to borrow this DVD and be prepared for humility.

-Got Maddox signed up for Kindergarten at Marrion Elementary yesterday and we're both looking forward to the Open House coming up in a few weeks. He'll be in preschool for about 6 more weeks and then I'll get to enjoy his argumentative demeanor on a full-time basis. Jealous?

-Teague is currently shaking off the devastation of the Blazers being knocked out of the playoffs, but don't think our TV won't continue to watch the NBA 24/7 (I could only hope). He's mentioned a trip to Missouri coming up, but that is the only business trip on the horizon.

-We've scheduled a 4 day trip to Lincoln City in May and the boys have already packed their suitcases (seriously?). I'm hoping to get a bunch of school clothes at the Outlets for next year since my August may be a little busy.

-I watched the royal wedding and loved it.

That's about all I can think of for now. Satisfied Adden??? ;-)
