Who do you feel more sorry for?

TEAGUE: Next week Teague has to travel for work.  Other than an overnight trip here and there he hasn't had to travel for approximately 3 years (anyone remember the China trip??) so we've been incredibly lucky as of late.  Unfortunately, he's headed to the midwest which isn't his favorite destination.  He'll start in Missouri for a bunch of meetings with the company president & then drive over to Mississippi with his boss for a few days.  This week will be filled with airplane travel, living out of a suitcase, eating out for each meal, long car trips, boring meetings, and he comes back around midnight next weekend during daylight savings which makes it even harder to acclaimate back to Portland time.  Oh, and that day of driving to Mississippi?  That's his birthday.  No party, no pampering, no loved ones around.  Depressing, no?

OR

NICOLE: I've got all 3 kids for the week.  Amidst the activities are biweekly swimming lessons for 2 of the kids, my turn to carpool for preschool, hosting a PTA Board meeting, hosting a kids-included girlfriend catchup potluck, errands for the upcoming Burgerville school fundraiser, a plastic surgery follow-up appointment, Mom's Group brunch potluck, taking the 3 kids to the Hats Off to Reading school event, passing out cookies for the school fundraiser and finishing up Hubby's birthday planning.  That's just the running around and does not account for the defiance, tantrums, delays, whining, bargaining, cooking, cleaning, homework & reading reminding, and naptime.  I also need to figure out when I'm going to workout since I've been going to the gym at 5:30am while the kids are sleeping because Teague is usually home.  All the while missing my best friend and feeling bad I can't make his birthday a little nicer.  I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

So, who's got your vote?
