And so it begins.....

Soccer that is.  They started practice last Monday in the scorching heat, but they only get 2 practices before their 1st game so the heat would wait for no one.  The boys play on Tuesday evenings until mid-August on a different park that is closer to the house.

Maddox has his best buddy on his team so I'm hoping a little friendly competition will foster some confidence in him.  His team wears the color green and is named "Green Goo."

Dylan is wearing a red shirt, but hasn't been given a team name yet.  Although there is a little girl from our church on his team, he doesn't know/recognize her and has yet to find a connection with anyone yet.  He does have the most experience of anyone on the team, but I told the coach not to assume it means he is a superstar.  I told him to consider it a huge victory if Dylan remains on his feet without tripping on the grass and collapsing in a fit of giggles every other play.

The boys have identical game times, except for one day which their games have a 20 minute difference of start times.  Their fields are (I think) right next to each other.  How awesome is that?
