New School Year

So of course the biggest thing going on this week is the beginning of a new school year.  When they came upstairs in the morning, they discovered their new backpacks that have been stashed away since late June.  Yes they are Star Wars.  Yes they are personalized.  What makes them even more awesome?  I was able to redeem the balance on a gift card I received 8+ years ago for my wedding to get these.  My how my priorities seemed to have changed!

Maddox began 2nd grade on Wednesday.  His best buddy's desk is directly across from him in his classroom.  I told the teacher, "Good luck with THAT!"

Dylan had a meeting with his teacher for 20 minutes on Wednesday, but due to the Kindergarten staggered start this week, his first day isn't until tomorrow.  But here's a pic of him looking super cute getting ready for his meeting.
