January 2015 Recap

Since I can't be relied on with witty things to say, the blog posts for 2015 will most likely just be pictures taken on my phone with captions.  That should encapsulate what's been happening in our lives.....if that is of any interest to anyone else besides myself.

Maddox likes making breakfast for the family on Sunday mornings

Dylan gets the #1 jersey in basketball

Through random assignment, Maddox got Lilliard's jersey number!

This cutie pie went through a myriad of hairstyles this month
Here she is after I took a straight iron to her hair

Curly toddler pageant style!

Texas hair!

A fresh new & sassy cut.  It's so adorable!!!  The down side is that she looks older :(

Here are more shots of her new 'do

My mother-in-law asked if it was easier for me to do her hair in the morning after this cut.....NO!  On Friday, I had the hair dryer and the straight iron on her, not to mention various products.

The first time I've seen her write her name.  I had no idea she could write this well already!

Maddox's maiden voyage on his new bike

Hitting the park

Presley's very first bike ride ever....& by bike ride, I mean me trying to push her uphill to the park while she slammed on the brakes with every step I took

Sporting their swag.  They pretty much wore these sweatshirts for 3 days straight...

In our house, we have 2 "rummage" nights per week for dinner which basically means that we eat leftovers or something that's been in the freezer or pantry for awhile.  In extremely rare occasions, we will indulge in what I call "True Rummage" which means anyone can eat whatever they want in the house.  Superbowl Sunday was a True Rummage.  The kids know how special this is and took advantage of it.  What a joy to not have anyone fight or whine about what is for dinner and just happy, smiling people.  Of course, it's the 3rd quarter of the Superbowl and my stomach is not loving me right now....

See you in February!
