April 2015 at a glance

Dylan participating in a princess dress-up day with lil' sis (yes, I will embarrass him with this pic often later)

Dying eggs and decorating cookies for Easter

This Easter, my church set up a photo booth to capture the celebration of our Risen King

While Maddox is at a sleepover, these two wanted one of their own.  Aren't they precious?

Presley is OBSESSED with this pink frou-frou princess dress Grandma gave her...she wears it everyday if she's in the house (yes, she's wearing it right now).  If we come back from an errand, she'll run into her room and change within 2 minutes.  It's an absolute nightmare prying it off her to get it washed.

Inspired by the "Big Nate" book series, Maddox created his own Doodler's Club (and flyers apparently) to take place each Wednesday.  So far they've only met for the first time and the members (all boys save for Presley) didn't make it to 1:50pm, but headed outside after about 30 minutes.  On the back of this flyer Maddox had a list of his members and a spot for their parents to sign a permission slip.  Totally something I would do.

Here's the Doodler's Club hard at work.  I'm surprised they lasted even 30 minutes.

During Spring Break the kids (& Maddox's friend, Christiaan) took a try at a glow-in-the-dark mini golf course.  They raced through it pretty quickly, but seemed to enjoy it.

After mini golf we all hit the food court for lunch

Here's a pick of my Volcano.  He and Maddox had their first game at the same time, but at different ballfield locations so I got to watch Dylan.

I tried to post a video of one of Dylan's hits from this first game, but it's not working.  Let me just say that this pic above is when I had accidentally taken a photo instead of a video on my phone.  He had 4 great hits at bat.  If you look closely you can see the ball is passing by the fence and Dylan felt this was his best hit of the day.I joined the 1st graders on a field trip to Evergreen Nature Park which has a small fish hatchery.  The weather was cool, but the kids loved being outside.

This pic shows the group I was handling (except photobomber Dylan N) and Dylan was so excited to be with his friends.

Here the children are getting their clipboards and looking all official.

In this pic we catch Dylan potentially trying to copy someone else's paper

I also tried to add a video of Presley at the park swinging by herself which was very exciting.  She won't swing 100% by herself yet, but the video gives me hope this achievement is near.

Did anyone else notice that Maddox was hardly in any of these pics?  Me too.  Apparently he is running quickly towards tween-dom and realizing that he'd rather be on the phone with his friends than hanging with his fam.  Have I mentioned he spends more time on the phone with his friends lately than the rest of us put together?  Crazy!

See you in May!
