August 2016 at a glance

Here's a few photos from the month of August.  As I uploaded these photos, it was very obvious that I dropped the ball....I failed to capture specific photos of monumental events.  Mommy fail.  I'm choosing to think that I was busy enjoying those moments instead of photographing them.
The first Sunday in August found us in Sandlake, Oregon to gather with the extended Olson family for a reunion.  This photo above depicts a group of ladies that have spent many summers together making memories and sharing love and laughter.  Our beloved Aunt Shirley has stepped in for the rest of us when our own moms can no longer join the celebration.  I cherish her so much and love the link to my mom that she is in my life.

After Aunt Shirley's, Presley got to spend the next 2 days with the Rivas's where she had movie nights, enjoyed the Olympics and got lots of girl-time.

Her and cousin, Kaitlyn, are like sisters....in good ways and not-so-good ways!

Once the summer FINALLY warmed up, we hit Cottonwood Beach and enjoyed the sunshine

Maddox was invited on a 'guy day' with pal, Lucas, his dad and a few others.  They hiked and swam up the Gorge and had a great time.

Presley Ann turned 5 this month!  This was a pretty big Mommy fail as this is the only photo I got.  Do not fret, tho, Teague got a bunch of photos of the birthday girl

Late August the teachers of our school district planned for a strike, but settled their dispute within 36 hours of the proposed strike and 1st day of school. In the photo above are some teachers from Marrion, including some of the kids' favorites.

  These photos are pretty self-explanatory.

Somebody is looking so grown up!

For one year only, these cuties will all be in the same school.  Best of luck, Marrion!

That's it for now!  September is going to be filled with baseball and dance classes....I'll let you guess which kid is doing which activity
