November 2021

Happy November!  This month was a pretty quiet month and didn't have much activity to speak of.  However, I managed to grab a few moments of interest.

First off, Teague and I were asked to witness a courthouse wedding....our first!  This is my friend Anna and her new husband, Bill.  Introducing the Gardners!

After some celebratory drinks with the newly wedded couple, Teague and I headed out for artisan pizza.

That weekend, we got the super fun surprise of discovering a water leak in the walls between Dylan's bedroom and the basement bathroom.  After many hours of research, Teague dove into the wall with his sawzall and proceeded to spend the next 48 hours or so coming to our rescue by repairing the leak and allowing us to resume showering, laundering, cleaning etc.  Not the weekend we would have planned, but I'm grateful for his knowledge and confidence to step up to the handyman challenge.

This year Dylan is part of the ASB Team at school. Each ASB student joins a sub-committee to focus on.  No surprise that Dylan joined the Sports/Athletic sub-committee. In the next couple of pics you can see him giving support to the Soccer Team, armed with a bullhorn (mistake) and leading other fans.  Yes, that is him standing on the field trying to get it on the action.

This was a great day....the day of Track Awards for the season.  Dylan was voted Team Captain by his peers and coaches and was asked to gather together with the other honorees for a school announcement.  He and teammates have their name on the Track & Field plaque and he received an individual plaque to keep.  So proud of him!

Here are some pics of Presley working in her classroom.

Here are a few pics I took at Thanksgiving.  As always, we met at Grandma's for a fabulous meal.  This year we were joined by Jake's parents, Australian natives who flew in from Tennessee to enjoy their first Thanksgiving experience.

This was a pretty cute pic of my babies.  Too bad I didn't get any pics of the 5 of us.

Once Thanksgiving was behind us, I was ready to break out the Christmas spirit.  Here we are delighting in a Starbucks hot cocoa with a free holiday cup before school.

Here's Presley enjoying a decaf peppermint mocha for Sweet Treat Sunday.  Sweet Treat Sunday is a tradition I started years ago. It's a monthly reward for those that choose to come to Church with me on Sundays. Over the years I've lost the boys, but I'm happy to see Presley still finds peace and value. Or maybe it's just the treats....

Maddox who?  Although he only made a small appearance in his Thanksgiving sibling photo, he remains on the Honor Roll and passed his driving test with a 92%.  He's almost done logging his required 50 hours and is eligible for his license by mid-January.

Well, that's it for November.  Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas and the best 2022 has to offer!
