Welcome to the last blog post of 2024. Here are a few captured moments of how we spent December.
Even though Dylan's football season ended in early November, they held their end of season banquet in December where he received his Varsity letter.
This is our Christmas card picture. It's also the only picture I got of the 5 of us this entire season. Maddox was pretty cranky vocal about being part of the card as he feels he has outgrown such traditions. Luckily Dad was able to talk him into joining us.
Last month I posted a pic of Coco with her Christmas bowtie, but this month I also got one of Diesel. I had them on until the day after Christmas. Maddox hated the fact that the cats were wearing the bowties and kept threatening to remove them, but the cats themselves grew accustomed to them pretty easily.
They look so precious!
Presley's Volleyball season came to a close. The team did not finish as high in the league as they wanted, but I was very proud of the effort Presley showed. She came in clutch many times with her hits and her power serves.
At Presley's end of season Volleyball party, she was presented a plaque and the honor of Most Inspirational on the team. Super proud!
Every December, the Counseling Center I work in hosts a Hot Cocoa Bar. With this event, it really starts to feel like Christmas.
When my co-workers and I had our gift exchange, I opened this amazing bag of cheeses! Randy smokes his own cheeses and there are 9 different varieties in here to enjoy. Yes, cheese is my favorite food!
Presley was invited to the 1st Trimester Awards where she was recognized not only for earning a spot on the Honor Roll, but also as October's Most Flexible student.
The last day of school before Christmas Break, the staff sings carols to the students when they enter the building. This is my very favorite Shahala tradition.
Every Monday morning, Presley and I hit our local Dutch Bros for morning beverages. The first Monday of Christmas Break I decided to bring those friendly and amazing employees some doughnuts as a 'thank you' for taking such good care of us.
Teague and I attended a 'Festivus' (Christmas Party) at the Beardmores where he got to visit some of his favorite pals from school.
On Christmas Eve Presley worked in the student's coffee bar for 2 out of 3 services. When I went over to pick her up, I was able to see her in action.
Here's my favorite couple. I took a pic of them last December by the tree and they indulged me by letting me take another pic this year. They have been together for over a year and I wish them all the best.
I failed to get a family Christmas picture, so I had to settle for a couple of selfies.
Maddox turned 19 this month! He celebrated the day with Chloe and then we enjoyed pizza and brownies. He had a 4-day stretch off of work beginning on Christmas Eve and ending on his birthday. It was nice getting to spend time with him, since I hardly see him these days.
Presley, Chloe and I had a Girl's Lunch at Brickhouse. It was a great opportunity to learn a little more about Chloe.
Happy New Year's Eve! Maddox worked, then went over to Chloe's while the 4 of us enjoyed some music, cocktails and food.
That's it for December! Peace out 2024.
