Hello! May 2026 came and went in a fast and furious pace....mostly running around to various sports activities. Here's what happened....
For the last home game of the Baseball season, each senior got to go through their warm-up routine with the person they first played ball with. In our case, Dylan warmed up with Teague. Presley and I were surprised at the tears we had watching this. It's hard to believe that after 12 years of baseball, this is his last season.
Presley had her last Volleyball Tournament on the first weekend of the month. In one tiebreaker game, her team won 15-0
The 14-1 Force team did not have luck on their side at this Regionals competition, but they jumped a number of spots in the rankings over the course of this season, so that was the victory.
As usual, and for the last time, we celebrated the volleyball tournament with In-n-Out....this time at our own location just down the street!
The following week the team volunteered their time at a nearby church by showing younger kids some volleyball skills for a service project
At her end-of-season celebration, she received one of the Coach's Awards
This was the last time 14-1 Force would be together. This is a great group and I have many fun memories of our time with this club
Presley was able to extend her softball season a few more weeks as her team had the opportunity to participate in a play-in game for districts
Unfortunately, she succumbed to 2 raging ear infections and had to miss that playoff game.
Dylan's Baseball team did very well this year.
In this picture, Dylan was sliding into home. To the left of the ump, you can see where the ball fell out of the baseman's mitt. Safe!
Mt View Thunder Baseball became the Evergreen District Champions and 3A League Champions!
Here's a funny pic of me and my work peeps showing how we were handling things at her desk while our building secretary was out of town for a few days
Here's an outing to the Oak Tree Station food trucks
A sweet bouquet from my sweet girl
Gorgeous flowers and a fun beverage from my first born. He can be such a sweetheart!
Spoiled for Mother's Day by Hubby
The ladies in the family were treated to a Mother's Day Brunch. We took this same picture last year with the same people, although Myles was in utero at that time. Funny how much things can change in just a year.
The team did so well, they were able to skip Round 1 and go right to Round 2.
The team participated in a clap out given by the school
I have a video of the whole team, but here's a clip of Dylan walking by. That crazy voice cheering is his super excited sister
The baseball team made a pact at the beginning of the season: if they made it to state, they would all bleach their hair as a sign of team solidarity
Here goes nothing
It surprised me how quickly the color turned
Wow!
The 1st bleaching turned more orange than expected and his teammates advised us to do another bleaching
Believe it or not, the 2nd bleaching does look better. Everyone else on the team looks hideous as well
Teague and I tried out a new local brewery. It has cocktails!
I snuck out of town for 5 days and headed down to Lake Shasta on a Girls Trip. We spent our daytime in the boat, the lake and the pool at our rental house. It was incredible!
Unfortunately, that means I missed Dylan's team at their State Baseball game. I tried to watch online, but the lake's service was spotty (the nerve!). Dylan headed up to Kennewick the night before the game and Teague and Presley headed over to support him at his very last baseball game ever (sniff, sniff).
Presley has been talking to a guy at school for months. He plays baseball as well and she will watch him more than Dylan at the games. They are starting to hang out outside of school and she couldn't be happier. Here is a pic before their first hang.
She invites him over to bake and watch movies
Every day at work I take a morning walk and an afternoon walk to get out of my office. These are some of my walking buddies in the UHS Walking Bookclub
The last pic I have of the month is a nice segue to what you will see coming up in June.
That's right! Dilly Bar's school career is finally coming to a close. Check back next month for the details.
