Restaurant Review - Couve Style

I'm pretty much always up for Chinese food, so this afternoon when a co-worker threw out an invite including the magical word combination of "Chinese Food" and "Buffet" my ears perked up and my stomach growled with excitement. I considedered this particularly tempting because the Mrs. doesn't happen share my zeal when it comes to most buffets.

In my excitement I didn't even ask for the name of the place or location, which is a good thing because despite my eagerness the thought of what ended up being a Chinese buffet on the west end of Fourth Plain might have scared even me off. So we pull into the parking lot, making note of the neighboring butcher shop - the one that's been all over The Columbian with the story about the off duty cop pulling a gun on the butcher. Then we dodge a couple of panhandlers on the way in.

The restaurant was very clean on the inside, with two separate rows of buffet goodness and a very friendly staff. I filled up my trough, errrr plate, and enjoyed the orange chicken, noodles, pot stickers and a number of other items. The second plate was quite tasty too and I couldn't match my co-worker who went for a third plate. I must be losing my touch.

You can also get your food to go, that's right, Chinese food by the pound. If you guess the total within $.10 it's free - awesome! The dine in lunch buffet is a bargain at $6.75 and $8.75 for dinner if you're looking for that special buffet date night.

If you're semi adventurous and enjoy some pretty good Chinese grub, give it a shot (just not the sushi):

I don't think "special buffet" and "date night" should be in the same sentence. Good restaurant review, nonetheless!
