'tis the season

So my present purchasing starts earlier than some due to the fact that I've got a Halloween baby. Sadly, I've been giving what meager hints I have for the boys out to family members and I'm totally at a loss for what to buy 3 and 5 year old boys. Although we say it every year, Teague & I really want to scale back gifts as the boys don't seem to play with everything they get. How can I spend countless hours each day with these individuals yet not know what they're into? I'm sure they would love a 46" flat screen on their bedroom wall, but let's be serious here....

Any ideas?
