Surgery scheduled

So my main surgery is set for Tuesday, December 6th. Part of me is nervous....can't the cancer go rampant in the next 3 weeks? Part of me is OK with the 3 week delay.....I have a shot at getting my Christmas shopping done and get a 'what-to-do-with-my-kids' schedule in place post op.

I do have a small surgery scheduled for this coming Tuesday afternoon. A port (gross!) will be installed in my left arm underneath the skin which is where the chemo will go so I don't have to have an IV everytime. Not excited about this since I will be awake during the installation. Totally creeped out.

For those of you extending offers of help, I thank you profusely! You are awesome and unlike other times, I will be taking you up on said offers. While meals and housework offers are super helpful, the needs I have coming up will be regarding the children. If you are able to help out, please let me know as I'll be coordinating a master schedule.

Since I can't pick up the baby, I am unable to put her in a carseat while I get the kids to & from school. That being said, from Dec 6th - Dec 16th this is the kind of help I will need:

1) either ride to school for Maddox (1/2 mile up the street by 8:30am) or stay with Presley at the house so I can drop off

2) either pick up Maddox from bus stop (few blocks up the street M,T,Th,F at 3:10pm; W at 12:50pm) or stay at the house w/ Presley while I pick him up

3) either ride to school for Dylan (Mon & Wed to Cornerstone by 8:30am, 12 min drive) or stay with Presley so I can drop off

4) either pick up Dylan from Cornerstone (Mon & Wed at 11:30am) or stay with Presley so I can pick up

5) company throughout the day solely to help me pick up Presley throughout the day; I promise to have food for you

Exhausted yet? Yes, I will literally be sitting around unable to do anything. Even if you are only able to help one time over those 10 days, I will be utterly grateful to you. A true lesson of humility for sure. Yet another epiphany the Lord has given.

Thanks again for all your support everyone!

We can totally swing by and take Dylan with us to Cornerstone in the mornings!! (As long as you think he'd be OK riding with us, since he doesn't know me super well. But my kids are really sweet with younger kids...) Just let me know!!

Sarah :)

Hey girly, I would love to help out! You can put me down for picking up Maddox from Cornerstone, Mon and Wed, then on the same Wed, hang around to pick Dylan up from the bus stop by 12:50 was it? How does that sound? And if you're needing any grocery store runs, I can do that also! We are here for you and the fam! Big hugs for you Nicole, miss you! And thank you for being so open and sharing your life, in such an intimate time, we truly feel honored to walk this stretch of life with you with God as our leader.

Ok, so I got the boys' names mixed up, so reverse that! Lol. Dylan from Cornerstone, and Maddox from bus stop :-)

I can pick Dylan up from school seeing that we are already there on Monday's & Wednesday's. Bring him back here @ our house for lunch & a little play time with Gage & then bring him home if Sarah would like to drop him off in the mornings. And then I can bring Dylan home around the time that Maddox is due to be home and pick him up on the way. I do not mind @ all. Please put me on your list. It's NOT too much to do that.

Nicole~ I can't help on weekdays since I'm at work, but I would love to help you out with weekends. If you could use a little quiet time, I'd love to have the kids over at my house since I just live around the corner. They can come eat & play & I'll bring your laundry home with me to do as well. I am praying for you & am here for you for whatever you need. Love you my friend~ B
