Quarantine Period

One thing I forgot to mention is that after each round of chemo, I will be going through what I’m calling a Quarantine Period. My treatments take place on a Thursday and during approximately the 2nd weekend following the treatment my immune system is incredibly low subjecting me to illness, infection, etc. In order to avoid this, delay in treatment, or hospitalization, I will be making myself very scarce for those few days. This means I’m electing not to hug, shake hands, or let you visit during this time period. I have such amazing people around me that I know you will respect this and will gladly give me space until I can smother you again. Once I get the specific days this goes into effect each treatment cycle I’ll post it on the blog and Facebook so you'll know why you aren’t seeing me at Women’s, Church, the Library or any other fun gathering I’m sad to be missing at the time. I will be limiting any unnecessary excursions out in public and will be holed up inside armed with generous amounts of hand sanitizer. Please know that I’ll be combing my social outlets more fiercely looking for glimpses of the outside world until the Quarantine Period is over. Calls, emails, and texts are more than well received!

God bless you Nicole, I am sending you my prayers and love. Chemo is the pits but so needed. I was advised to eat carbs with fiber right before and some during my chemo to help my system. IT worked for me. I guess the carbs-fiber coat the chemo as it goes thru your stomach to help keep you feeling some better.
God bless. You and your are in my prayers. Darcy
