Whirlwind Week - Thursday

Today I had an appointment with my surgeon and I didn’t really even know what it was for. It was called a post-op appointment and the purpose was to go over my pathology. Isn’t that what I did at the Oncologist’s office yesterday? Oh, well, I’m getting used to these appointments and I’m still on the Answered Prayers High from the previous day.

The meeting went well, there was a lot of ‘woo-hoo’s’ and happiness all over the place. She was very pleased (with herself) by the incisions from the prior week and officially classified me as Stage 2A. I think the “A” makes it sound even milder, don’t you?

We talked a bit about our insurance drama and she was very annoyed that we were part of this Aetna/PeaceHealth negotiation. Right now we are applying for a Continuation of Coverage and have passed out forms to each doctor so they can help us get covered for the remainder of this journey. This is a prayer need, but Teague’s company keeps assuring us that if nothing gets settled, they will reimburse him for the extra expenses which means I get to keep my amazing team. Sidebar: if you know of anyone in the Vancouver area newly diagnosed with Breast Cancer, I have the most amazing team and would love to pass along a referral.

Still loving life and giving Him all the glory for my many, many blessings. If you have to have breast cancer, my case is the best case to have. As I told my surgeon in this meeting: I make cancer look good :)
