Weekly Memory Verse

OK, hopefully it's not news to you readers that I am a Christian.  I hope that you have seen that part of my life before.  If you haven't, then I'm not doing my job as His servant very well, but that's a whole separate blog entry.  Anyway....

I have read the Bible in its entirety.  That was a goal I made for myself in 2011 and even with 2 surgeries and a hospital stay, I faithfully read each word the Bible said.  Does that mean I understood everything.  Ha!  Hardly. 

That being said, I lack scripture knowledge.  Oh, I know a bunch of phrases here and there, but I have very little idea where anything is and what book is referenced.  One of my goals this year is to memorize a scripture each week including reference points.  So far it's going well.  I've been trying to add a place on the blog where I'll update it each week, but I'm having formatting issues.  For now, the weekly verse is right under the photo heading at the top (gee, ya think it's time to update that photo??).  Please feel free to pass along your fave scripture :)

Another goal for this year is to faithfully blog at least once per week.  That's going well also, but I need more material.  I've got a few topics, but no time for lengthy descriptions.
