Hitting the Bucket List

Well I wasn't kidding around in my last post about trying to fit in a few items on the Summer Bucket List so we made this week count.

First stop of fun this week is hitting the Clark County Fair. Presley spent the afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa while the boys (big & little) hit the Fair for the Tuff Trucks, rides, games and unhealthy food. Our indulgence? Deep Fried Cookie Dough. mmmmmmmm

During the basketball shooting game I feel it important to brag that Dylan made 5 out of 7 shots and Maddox made 7 out of 7. Enough said.

Although the boys got bored of the grandstand entertainment near the end, it was a great Fair experience. Traffic and parking were great and we had pre-purchased our entrance & some ride tickets to keep the costs down. The raindrops started as we drove home. Perfect.

On Wednesday, the kids and I visited 2 places I've wanted to try for a long time.....The Grilled Cheese Grill (grilled cheese food truck with a Double Decker Bus for a seating area) and Salt n' Straw Ice Cream shop (I had the Strawberry Lime Cilantro Cheesecake). At both places the food was fabulous and the kids were great.

So hitting North Clackamas Aquatic Park with the kids was something I've looked forward to all summer. We met Kaitlyn and Auntie Michele on Thursday and, after redeeming a great coupon courtesy of Grandpa Bruce, we quickly hit the waves. We spent most of the time in the wave pool which creates 15 minutes of waves, then 10 minutes of calm water. There were a couple of big slides, but the children were either too short (Dylan) or too afraid (Maddox) to ride. Auntie Michele and I weren't tho! We were able to sneak in a few rides. After about an hour or so, the PSU Football Team came in and it got really crowded. Luckily they spent most of their time in the deep pool/diving board, lap pool and adult hot tub.

We all had an absolute blast and can't wait to visit here again!
