Christmas Meltdown

Christmas Meltdown

I love my little Christians!

So this week is Vacation Bible School which is usually an exhausting week for some reason.  You would think it would be a light, easy week for me since I can drop the 2 older kids off for 3 hours and have some time to myself.  Not so much.  This is my 6th year of volunteering to serve at VBS which entails me getting all 4 of us out the door by 7:45am and not getting home any earlier than 12:30pm.  I actually declined to help this year.  I walked away saying I was taking the year off only to walk back up to the Director 90 minutes later and offer to help.  Again.  I admit I love the excitement, the themes, the t-shirts, the songs, the drama, the games, the snacks, the waves from kids I don't know and especially spying on my children as they head to each activity.  Who was I kidding not offering to be part of it???

Today is Day #4 and we have hit some BIG milestones from each child that couldn't make me any more proud.

Maddox & Dylan asked Jesus into their hearts today!  They felt today was the right time to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior and made this important decision publicly.  I pray I can always remember July 24, 2014, as the day their lives are forever changed.  I'm overjoyed!

As if this news wasn't enough to be excited about, Presley has been learning from her friends in the Volunteer Class of VBS and has been in undies for over 24 hours without any accidents!  That's right, people, she is FINALLY getting behind the idea of potty-training and has been incredibly successful at it.  It's a Bonus VBS miracle!!!  Special thanks go out to other moms helping Presley see how big girls do it and the other children in her class proving she is ready.  I admit I'm scared a little because once she got those undies on, she refuses to put a pull-up on and I can't help feeling that to have no accidents would be too easy.  I would certainly love to be wrong, tho.

Hope your day is going as well as mine :)
