Please bear with me

Now that we've had several very hot days in a row, I'm starting to hear the usual complaints....you know the ones where people "want the rain to come" and "it's stifling" and "my allergies are super bad" and "my hair is frizzing out" and on and on.  I have to admit that I have very little sympathy whatsoever.

I have put up with approximately 10 months of cold.  And rain.  And wind.  And cold.  And grey skies.  And cold.  And clouds.  Did I mention the cold?  You get the picture.  I have endured it with countless complaints of discomfort of my own.  This is my time.  Weather like this puts me in a dramatically different (& obviously better) mood and I am so much more appreciative in general.  Please let me relish the scorching heat, the extra sweat, the extra bees, the fragrant lilies, the green grass, and yes, the hay fever.  I love it all and do my best to soak it up each day that I can.

I realize I live in the wrong part of the world.  I may be better suited for the desert climate, but would I appreciate the sun and heat as much?  Doubtful.  Would a beautiful yard beckon me?  Hardly.  Much as I hate to admit it, I'm sure i am exactly where I'm meant to be.  Now if you'll excuse me, I have a date with a lounge chair and a floaty toy ☀️😀
