October 2018 Wrap Up!

Greetings everyone!

Here's what the Rakoz family was up to during the month of October....

Dylan began learning how to play the trombone.  He doesn't talk too much about it, but it seems like he's enjoying it.

We got together with some favorite friends to celebrate a birthday.  These kids just love it when we all get together.

This guy scored a career-high 17 points during his basketball game!

Because this month had such amazing weather, we took advantage and got to hit up a football game that Maddox's bestie was playing in.

We look forward to seeing Ayden continue to lead the Mt View Thunder to more victories to come!

During a month-long process, I beat out 75 other applicants and landed a new job!  Beginning the last week of October, I am now the new Registrar/Counseling Secretary at Shahala Middle School.  While I've wanted this type of job for a few years now, it was hard leaving some really great people.  Here are some flowers from my front office soulmate, Michelle.

Here's a very generous giftcard from a fave co-worker and fellow school cheerleader, Melissa.

And of course I will miss our honorary mascots....the goats!  Thank you, Legacy, for years of craziness and laughter.

As my new job requires more hours in my day, I had to take some pics of my handsome Safety Patroller as I won't get to see him in action anymore.  Ain't he the cutest???

Dylan was asked to represent Marrion at the annual PE Showcase.  Although he had a game, we raced over and made it in time to show the audience a variation of football.  I didn't understand the point of this game, but Dylan looked great out there anyway.

All the schools got together for YMCA at the end.

Here's Dylan enjoying a post-game snack.  He is really enjoying this team he's part of and the parents love to celebrate the boys.

Maddox's STEM class is super hard and he is having a hard time assembling the crazy projects the teacher requires.  This particular project found Daddy working multiple hours during the week to recreate a prosthetic hand.  I'm so glad I never had this class!  And I'm even more sorry that Maddox does.

Halloween was a really fun time.  Here is Belle.

And Dylan was the antagonist from "Scream."  Maddox was Drift from Fortnite, but I never got a pic of him.

Sadly I didn't get ANY pics of Dylan turning 11 on his birthday (other than the pic above), which was a total mom-fail.  He had a low-key celebration with a few friends eating pizza, popcorn bar, cupcakes and video games.

Until next month!
