September 2018

Although September was a crazy start (thank you teacher's strike), we had a few beginnings and some good times.

The weather was hot and sunny during the teacher strike. While I enjoyed working on my tan,
Presley chose to make snowcones to keep her self cool.

At the end of August and through a chunk of September , Teague and I went on a Keto
health kick where we kept our carbs under 20 g per day and ate mostly fat and protein.
We enjoyed a very rare outing but had to continue tradition by attending a Rest of the Fest
celebration at the Brown’s house. Here's a pic of me with a wonderfully generous host Jessica.

The teacher's strike finally ended and the kids had their first day of school on September 10.

Dylan has been waiting for years to join the school band and learn an instrument.
Here is his order form. I might wait until October for the big reveal on which instrument was
recommended for him. Hint: this instrument looks bigger than him.

As it is a September tradition, me and the kids met up with auntie Michele, Uncle Ted, and
Kaitlyn to walk in the Race for the Cure. We love joining in on the festivities and goodies and
ended up at a tasty lunch at the Olive Garden.

Here’s a cute picture of Presley it with one of her birthday gifts.

We celebrated a few birthdays this month. A very important birthday, was the twins. Yes, Coco
and Diesel turned 1 officially on September 22. Although they didn’t join our house until
November 30, I feel it’s important to celebrate their day of their birth. They’re so big yet they are
still very quick to run away from all of us. Diesel feels a lot heavier than Coco who seems more
dainty, but they both bring tremendous joy into our lives.

At the end of the month, Presley and I joined one of her friends, Mia, for her birthday at a
local pumpkin patch. We got to pick out pumpkins and did some face painting. Here’s some
pics of her with the birthday girl and the mom, who also had a birthday earlier this month which
I enjoyed celebrating.

That’s it for September. Join us next month we are basketball starts, band starts, and school
pictures come back.
