As August came in, I realized that I had to go back to work on the 10th. I had to fit it as much super summer fun as soon as possible. Here's how we spent the last month off:

We spent the first couple of days of the month still on our beach vacation in Lincoln City. Our beach house was in a cute cul-de-sac in Road's End that had a small playground with a basketball court so the kids spent a lot of time outside. The boys loved being able to adjust the hoop and slam dunk.

A few days later we picked up Maddox's BFF and met Auntie Michele & Kaitlyn at Grandpa Bruce's house before heading to Kah-nee-ta for the day. It's supposed to be closing forever in early September and this is our last chance for the kids to ever experience the magic of this place. This is the only pic I took of our day.....the rest of our memories are in videos, but we all had an absolute blast during the 8 hours we were there. It wasn't crowded at all and we went down the slides countless times. Dylan even entered the cannonball contest.

We spent the night at Grandpa Bruce's house where the kids had a campout in the backyard.
The first weekend of August, I dropped Maddox off at his Bestie's church for them to head off to Bible Camp for 4 days. I'm so proud of him! Not so proud of myself for completely neglecting to take ANY photos of the drop off or pickup. Mom fail!

In light of the older brother's absence, the mom's, younger brothers and Presley met Auntie Michele and Kaitlyn at North Clackamas Aquatic Park which was so fun!

The next day Daddy treated us to the Clark County Fair. Presley has never been to the fair before and she had a lot of fun eating nachos, winning stuffies and looking at everything.

Here's Dylan trying his luck at a shooting game (which didn't have any prizes).

And always a highlight for us at the Fair is watching the Tuff Trucks. It was loud and entertaining as always.

Sadly this is the only pic I have from Maddox's Bible Camp is this amusing shot of Maddox and Ayden (separate teams) duking it out in some slippery bubble game. He had a great time and said he wanted to go again next year. Yes!!!!
I had to work on Presley's birthday, but Anna the Rockstar offered to take all the kids for the day (what??!!). Is she amazing or what??? They decorated their house with all unicorn stuff and had lots of presents and treats for the birthday girl who was turning 7.
Sadly I didn't get any pics of the birthday girl's special day, MOD Pizza dinner or Unicorn Nacho party, but Daddy did. She had a great time and was very spoiled indeed.

Every so often this dear friend comes back to Vancouver and enjoys the Crossroads sermon. I get so excited to spend time with Nicole (the shirt was intentional).

Maddox spent a day with Ayden.....not sure I'm totally on board with Aaron's method of keeping the boys calm during the day, but hey.....whatever works......

After months of sporting this (hideous) mohawk, I finally got to shave it off in preparation of the 1st day of school.
Unfortunately, due to a teacher strike in the district, we haven't started school yet and won't until September.

So we continued our summer fun. This pic is at a local park when I picked up the Den-boys for the afternoon.

A few days later we hit the North Clackamas Aquatic Park again since the big brother's missed out on last time.
That's about it for the month of August! It was a crazy whirlwind and I can't wait to see what September brings.
