Hello there! Since July is the ONLY month I don't have to work at all, I try to cram as much fun things in as possible. As luck would have it, we've had AMAZING weather and I am trying to take advantage of it.
Here's how our month went:

The kids started out the month by taking tennis lessons with one of my favorite teachers @ Legacy, Jenny Pizot. They did amazing.

Maddox stole my phone for a photo burst....here are my 2 faves

Here we are celebrating Free Slurpee Day @ 7/11, a summer tradition

Maddox spent most of the week at a Fitness Camp @ Wy-east which is a free event where kids get together and get out some energy. Here are the usual suspects.

Presley attended Vacation Bible Extreme at Real Life Church where the only people she knew was a 4th grader and a leader of the Craft station (both very good friends of ours). She had a blast.

Presley and Anna

The kids and I met some friends at Alderbrook Park to enjoy the pool, mini golf, basketball, bouncy houses, etc. I got a really great slo-mo video of the boys and a friend jumping in the water, but alas......I still can't figure out how to add a video :(

Dylan attended Union High School's basketball camp. Highlights include:
*earning a free gatorade each day of camp (via basketball trivia)
*was drafted to the Warriors which made it to the championship game
*won the camp tournament in OT (assist for the game winning shot)

For my birthday, me and my amazing friends gave our shot at an Escape Room. The theme was "DB Cooper" and despite our best efforts, we did not manage to escape. Our host claimed we were mere minutes away from 'money raining down from the ceiling' tho. We consoled ourselves with dinner and drinks at Heathen Brewery. I had a fantastic time thanks to this guy!

The finale for Presley's VBX was performing at Sunday's service. Afterward there was a BBQ, sno cones and kid activities to enjoy.

Presley and Asher did a fantastic job in their VBX performance.

The following week was Vacation Bible School at our home church, Crossroads. The theme was Time Lab. As a volunteer, I am obligated to arrive at 7am each day, but I get to enjoy breakfast. On Tuesday, Asher and Connor (Dylan's friend from school) joined us as well. It was an exhausting, but wonderful week.

These 3 were all in the Red Lions group.

Here are our souvenirs from the week.

Here's a pic of all the volunteers during the week.

In the evening, Dylan attended a football camp. He didn't really know anyone else in attendance, but he learned a bunch of new positions.

Teague and I are doing a summer-long pub crawl. Each week we pick one or more breweries to try and invite others to join us. On this evening the Denbo's joined us at Final Draft.

Later on Teague and I went to a nearby performance of Dance Machine starring our own brother-in-law on bass

To get some exercise, Teague and I headed to Lacamas Lake for a 2 mile hike that ended up being 5.5 miles after a few wrong turns. Don't ask.....

Here are some pics where Auntie Michele and Kaitlyn joined us at Cottonwood Beach for the day. The weather and water were perfect!!

Dylan had the opportunity to join his baseball buddies and coach on a trip to Wild Waves. He said he went on every ride he could. They left at 7:30am and didn't drop him off until midnight. I can tell by this pic that he made the most of his time there.

At the end of the month, Teague found a house to rent at Lincoln City. We took a scenic route through Seaside, by the newly renovated Tillamook Cheese Factory, and down Highway 101 as the kids haven't been there. We spent a lot of time at the Arcade, including trying our luck at Fascination. Even though it took twice as long to get to our final destination, it was totally worth it.
The beach house and trip were both awesome, but you'll have to wait until next month for the pics. See you then!
