Hey there!
If you are reading this, you may be at least a little curious as to what we've been up to this month. Well, here are a few moments I was able to capture. Snowfall was a big theme to the month and although it snowed a good amount of days, there was only 1 Snow Day from school and the rest of the snow either occurred over the weekend or didn't stick.

In Maddox's Science class, his table group was tasked with building a prosthetic arm (a much better version and project than his STEM class's prosthetic arm). One evening he and a fellow teammate had to rush over from a game to the school and compete in a Prosthetic Arm Challenge held by his teacher.

Here's a fun pic of Dylan taking on a game day that also included team photos. I had met the rest of the family at the game due to a PTA meeting and was horrified to discover that he was wearing PRESLEY'S WORKOUT TIGHTS!!! The same tights she was getting rid of because they are too small for her. These pants (along with the small shorts he's also wearing) were in a donation pile nearby his jersey so he thought I was laying it out for him to wear. Did I mention it was team picture day????!!! At least they matched. Oh Dylan.....you could not be more precious.....

Here we are at our nearby Starbucks in our usual tradition of walking up for hot cocoa. I had some videos of Presley sledding on her inflatable unicorn that she got for Christmas, but since videos aren't viewable on my blog, you'll just have to imagine the magic.

On another day that snowed, Presley was the only child that wanted to walk up with me...that's why she got a brownie as well.

Here's a few pics of Maddox's last basketball game on the 7A team at Wy'east Middle School. This game was extra special because his best friend, Ayden (#13), had gotten his cast off and was finally able to play with the team. Ayden had broken his finger during the first week of practice and had to support the team from the bench the entire season....except for this game. The boys got to play quite a few minutes together and it was very cool to see.
The team had a lot of struggles this season, only tasting victory 1 time. However, I had to take a pic of the scoreboard where we were playing a better team and we were ahead at the beginning and still tied in the 2nd period. We lost, of course, but we hung in there for quite a bit longer than the first time we played them.
Dylan started his meetings for the Journalism Club at school. I haven't the slightest idea what he's doing in there, but he seems to be enjoying himself. He said he was going to be the photographer, but I think he's writing some articles. Whatever he's doing there, it can only help refine his writing and communication skills so I'm all for it.

Here's a pic I saved from Presley's teacher of her class enjoying their Valentine's Day celebration.

This month the school district passed along passes to get into the Nike Company (Employee) store. The kids and I headed over on President's Day to see if they had any good deals. We found a few things, but this pic is special because these shoes were designed by a very talented and brave child of one of my friends. Chloe Swientek, age 10, was selected as a special designer that represents her life with Cystic Fibrosis. She has endured treatments, setbacks and hospitalizations too numerous to count and every single detail on this shoe was intentional and specific. As Presley and I were talking about these shoes, she became very emotional about everything this child goes through. We tried to find these shoes in her size (only women's sizes were available), but there were none to be found. I was glad to share this story with her and see her compassion.

Each month I take the kids out for a Mommy/Child date called "Hangtime." I started this when I accepted a different job which meant working full-time which results in less time to spend with them each month. It's a chance to connect with them one-on-one where the others aren't interrupting. This month Dylan selected to hang out at the mall and we enjoyed a lunch and a cupcake for dessert. Presley opted to have a fun drink at Black Rock and color together. Maddox spaced arranging a time and missed out....which he probably didn't really miss at all, but I noticed he already has his Hangtime scheduled for March.

Here's a pic of us and the Denbo's (my bestie!) enjoying some microbrews at a local brewery during a crazy rainy day. The beers were great, but the company was even better and I had a blast with these folks.

Here's a pic of Presley using one of the facial masks she got from Auntie Rhacelle and Briar for Valentine's Day. And no, here other front tooth she lost around Christmastime is NOT growing in....at all...

The end of the month found us at Marrion Elementary for the 3rd grade music concert. Now Presley is still in the 2nd grade, but because her class is in a 2/3 split class, she and her class performed with the other 3rd graders. She got to play the xylophone? marimba? I don't know what this thing is, but she did wonderful and sang beautifully as well.

Here's just a fun pic of me with my super awesome friend, Michelle, at church one day. She's an amazing business owner, mom and friend and I love how much fun we have together.
That's about it for February. It was a whirlwind month where Teague was crazy busy (and profitable) at work, as well as attended a conference in Missouri. Of course he was pretty giddy with all the weather pattern changes. My work was busy as well as I am preparing for next year forecasting/scheduling and preparing all 5th graders to head up to middle school. It's been a fun ride and we're excited for baseball & track to start and for some sunny weather!
