Presley got to spend 1 Saturday with the Mt View HS Dance Team at a youth dance clinic. She had a lot of fun learning 2 dances.
Although she was crazy sick the next week, she begged and pleaded to join me at the dance competition my team competed in that weekend. As a bonus, she got to perform one of her dances at the Mt View HS Dance Competition as well. Of course I had to send her a balloon and flower for good luck! My dancers did her hair and makeup and she was in absolute Heaven! She had quite the cheering section.
She loves hanging with my dance team at practices, school in the morning and at the competitions. My dancers absolutely love her and are so nurturing.
Here is a war-wound from a shoulder roll in our lyrical routine. Like my dance team, she had the same bruise on her shoulder.
After a rough start for my dance team, we pulled off 1st place in 2 out of 3 competitions. The comeback was so amazing.
I even got a flower from one of my fave dancers. They are so sweet!
Presley's school put on a dance event one Friday evening with a Glow/Rave theme. They had lots of food, desserts, and glow items to purchase as well as a special edition t-shirt that the kids were invited to sign for each other as a souvenir.
This was such a fun opportunity to meet some of her friends at this new school, including her crush.
The following school day, Presley asked a bunch of students and staff at MY school to sign her shirt as well!
Also in February, we had some chances to get more details about Briar and Jake's upcoming wedding. All of the kids were invited to participate in this special day. This will be their first experience in a wedding!
The very last day of the month found Presley and I joining Grandma, Auntie Rhacelle & Bride-to-be Briar shopping for her wedding dress! This was such an amazing experience. While I won't post any pics of the final purchase, I will say that this bride will be absolutely gorgeous!
After the dress fitting, we were treated to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory where we all exchanged drawings of what type of dress we thought Briar might select. This is mine and Presley's submission.
Presley and I took the dress shopping event seriously and picked out a new outfit as well.
So excited!
Later that evening Teague and I met up with Anna and Aaron for drinks at a local bottle shop. I love meeting up with friends and enjoying conversation.
That's it for February! Tune in next month where we will be in the middle of forecasting classes at school (Maddox heading to high school???) and the start of baseball season.
'til then.......
