January 2022

Happy 2022!  As January's usually go, there wasn't a lot going on for the Rakoz Family.

Highlights:

*Teague's work frenzy evened out and allowed him to resume normal work hours.

*I've been busy getting my Dance Teams prepared for competitions later this month and throughout February.

*mid-January marked the 6-month requirement for Maddox's permit.  He has completed all of his obligations toward trying for his driver's license.  Once he takes his knowledge test and driving test, he can hit the road.  Look out Vancouver!

*Dylan continues to recover from last month's knee surgery so there weren't a lot  activities for him, unless you count his social media activity.

*Presley is just plugging right along.  We've got her all signed up for Spring softball and she's joining me at my Dance Team functions.

Here are the few photos I managed to snap from January since we don't have a lot to report on.

New Year's Day snacks included my mom's delicious fondue recipe. We haven't had it in awhile and it tasted so good!

Presley baked this 1/2 doughnut 1/2 scone recipe all by herself.

Here's a pic of my very 1st COVID test.  As a coach I was required to test before our first competition.  Dylan has been required to test 3x per week.  These are the only tests he's allowed to fail.

Here are some pictures from Mr. Handsome on game days. The requirement is dress shirt, slacks and tie on game day and he looks very sharp.

Here's the only basketball action Dylan is allowed to have this season. It also gives him a chance to watch all the players in the district with the different offensive plays from each school. That intel may be helpful when he's able to get back on the court.

I managed to catch a rare moment where the twins are in close proximity and not fighting

I was at a dance competition at Mountain View and found this poster near the gym restroom.  Zoom in on the 1989 pic and the 1990 pic to see if you can spot Mt View alum, Teague. The high school is getting a brand new building opening up this fall which means the Thunderdome (current Mountain View gym) will be torn down.  It's sad to think that both Teague and Maddox had all their basketball games in there, but Dylan (and Presley?) will be in the new gym only. Hopefully I will be seeing many, many games there.

This is the Hip Hop Squad on my Dance Team at our 1st competition

That is all for January!  Thanks for reading and be sure to check out what we are up to next month!
