September 2023

September was a pretty busy month, so much so that I neglected to get a lot of pics. I managed to capture a few things, but I will say that between Dylan's football practices and games and Presley's softball practices and games, we didn't really have time for much else.  Here are a few other events that happened this month.

After an 8-day educator's strike (which resulted in no school for the kids and a work stoppage for me), we FINALLY got to start the 23.24 school year!  Unfortunately, this 2-week delay had me stressed out to 'catch up' work-wise when I had been in a really good spot leading up to the first day of school.

There was a Facebook Challenge that I was tagged in as the parent of a high school senior: post a pic of my Senior every day for 5 days.  Here are the photos I chose:

The whole family came out for a warm Friday Night Football game between Mountain View and Union (although the boys opted to hang with their friends....shocker).  For both Presley and Maddox, it was their very 1st high school football game.  We won!  Later on I got Maddox to agree that they're pretty fun.  I'm glad he's branching out a bit and enjoying his senior year.

Dylan and I spent a warm and sunny Saturday up at OHSU for his annual ABCD Study appointment.  Because he still has his braces, he was not able to have an MRI for this visit, but it was a 4-hour appointment to analyze his brain as well as earn money in the name of research.  This visit he walked off with over $200

Teague's high school friend, Tim, came to town to show his girlfriend the Pacific NW so we headed to some wineries and out to dinner.  It was a super fun night.

Contrary to this photo, Dylan was pretty excited to hit his 1st Homecoming Dance with some of his football buddies.  He reported to have a great time.

My apologies for a meagerly documented month.  I will try to get more photos for next month.

Happy Fall Y'all!
