Happy October! Here are some highlights of what the Rakoz Family was up to this month.
Teague and I celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary this month. Seems so much longer.....
Dylan finally passed his concussion tests and was back on the field. Mt View got 2 wins in a row this month!
Michele (my sis), Presley and I did a Girl's Night eating snacks and watching movies into the wee hours of the night at the Heathman Lodge.
Michele and I spent a beautiful morning and afternoon walking 10K at the Girlfriend's Run at the Vancouver Waterfront. It was such a great event honoring those celebrating victory over and also memorializing others with Breast Cancer.
Mimosas and snacks at the finish line were enough motivation for me!
I'm coming up on 13 years cancer free. Yay me!
On early release days, Presley and I head out to lunch. This day, Presley treated me to a Chipotle feast. Its' her absolute fave. Such a sweet and thoughtful gesture.
I absolutely love this picture!
Here he is celebrating with his teammates that he also plays baseball with after one of them scored a touchdown
I really enjoy heading down to the field after a game for a hug from my favorite player
This year me, Michele and Dylan took a trip down to Monmouth, Oregon to attend my alma mater's Homecoming Game. My niece, Kaitlyn, attends WOU and it was about time I made a visit to a place where I made so many fun memories. Plus, Dylan would get a chance to see a small glimpse of college life.
As an alumni, I was able to get us all into the game for free.....after grabbing snacks from the tailgate first, of course.
One of my very fave college pals/fellow cheerleaders lives close by and joined us for the game and dinner afterward. It was like no time at all had passed.
Did I mention that Presley made the 8A Volleyball team at school? No surprise. She was selected to be one of the captains for the 1st game. They currently have a 1/1 record.
I made Dylan a Boo Basket as one of his birthday gifts.
I made my Halloween costume this year. 2 other co-workers and I worked together and went as Crumbl cookies. My flavor was their "Dirt Cookie"
Here is the inspiration for my costume.
The finished cookies products
We also went across the street to our Crumbl store and they gave us each a free cookie because they enjoyed our costumes so much
DYLAN TURNED 17 YEARS OLD!!!
How the heck did THAT happen ??!! He celebrated with his last football practice of the season. Definitely bittersweet
Dylan, you are so loved!
Halloween had such rainy weather this year, that we didn't see as many trick-or-treaters as we usually do. I say "we," but we tasked Maddox and Chloe with handling the children at the door. Presley volunteered at our Church's Harvest Jam event.
That ends our October 2024! Stay tuned 'til next month.
