Happy September! This month was filled with the hustle of the new school year, football, Church activities and celebrations.
I received this sweet gift to start the year by a family at my school. My school community gets spoiled by families and this was such a sweet gesture
First game of the year!
Look who found each other at a football game. Dylan was warming up at the stadium before his 7pm game and Amber was chaperoning her school's 4:30pm game
Ready for action
He gets a lot of playing time on Varsity (as receiver, on special teams, and as a starter), but our team does not have any wins yet this season. Luckily he's enjoying the experience
Proud Mama
Here's a clip of #21 getting a tackle
This lovely girl has become such a great friend and mentor to Presley. They met when she was Presley's counselor at Bible Camp and have been super close ever since. Here they are at our church's annual Family Picnic
Presley has been doing an amazing job working the Coffee Bar at our church's Students Group on Sundays and Wednesdays. She's a legit Barista now!
I had a goal for reading 50 books this year and achieved it a few months early. Yay me! I absolutely love to read and have a terrible habit of checking out too many books at the Library....usually around 11 books are found at my house at a time which doesn't count the 6 books that I own or have been loaned to me. The addiction is real
Teague and I hit Grassa (one of my fave restaurants) for some cocktails before a fun night out
I love this friend so much! I'm so happy to have her in my life and she's been such a wonderful person to me and my family. And she always throws the best parties!
Champs for my Champ!
My friend helped me personalize my Air Force One's. Aren't these the absolute best???!!!
As an early anniversary celebration, Teague used some credits he gets from the Ilani Casino and treated us to dinner at the Michael Jordan Steakhouse. Complimentary champagne to start.
Then the indulgence began.
And did not stop
We ate and ate....and took home the 23 layer chocolate cake....2 of them
The Football Boosters held a tailgate before the Homecoming Game. The weather was fantastic! Unfortunately, due to an aggressive game the week before, Dylan was unable to play in the Homecoming Game while he works through a concussion.
He went to the dance, though. Here is his Fancy Fit for Hoco
Yes, his friends did tease him and said he looked like a grandpa. I think he looks so handsome!
Dylan and his Hoco date, Bree
In other exciting news (that I do not have a photo for, unfortunately), Maddox is now working at a local Target!
That's it for October. See ya next time!
