November 2025

Seasons greetings! Here's what the Rakoz Family was up to in November.

As Dylan's football career came to an end, the sappy posts on social media by the seniors popped up to say 1 last goodbye

This month I celebrated my 14th Pink Anniversary...still cancer free!

We are still doing our football contest that I like to call the Rakoz NFL Smackdown. Although this photo is terrible, you will note that I'm still kicking everyone's butt with my picks.

Presley finally received her Varsity Letter for her slow-pitch softball season. Not many can say they earned their letter as a Freshman, but we Rakoz girls represent! So incredibly proud of her.

I joined the Social Committee at my work where we plan fun celebrations for the staff. Here's our Quarterly Birthday event

We also hosted a Fall Match event which encourages staff members to get out of their classrooms and hunt down a color and number 'match.' My match and I found each other on Day 1 during a normal daily chat. Anthony is a soccer coach at Shahala so I always ask about his players that I may know from my time there. He also brings by sweet and salty snacks that he gets donated as our Transition Coach.

Me and Ang (one of my absolute faves) met up for a Boozy Brunch to celebrate her birthday this month. I sure wish she lived closer!

Happy B-day Ang!

So in order for Teague and I to get on the same page on covering Christmas shopping for our family, I suggested we leave the house to grab some food (maybe cocktails) and finalize our gifting plans.  We found ourselves at a new location of Breakside Brewery which had some pretty decent menu items. We were discussing our ideas and divvying out tasks when a young woman comes up and shoots us with a bubble machine asking "You here for Trivia Night?"  We stared at her, stared at each other, back at her. Then I answered "Yes we are." Unfortunately that meant we could no longer be on our phones and had to cease our Christmas planning. Although we felt we were doing pretty well, we ended up tying for last place (what??!!).

Teague was selected (by me) for the 'ax throwing' tie-breaker event

He nailed it

Our consolation prize....I'll take it!

Presley's Youth Group hosted a Friendsgiving event and I volunteered to help serve with my Moms Group

The venue was decked out and looked fantastic. There appeared to be about 200 students and almost as many desserts. Presley had a great time.

Presley tried out for a Club Volleyball team this year through FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). She and I chatted about trying a season of club volleyball to get her ready to potentially try out for the high school team in the fall.  After 2 days of drills and gameplay, she was offered a spot on the highest level team in her age group! Not surprised, she's amazing.

We attended a Farewell Party for our longtime friend, Cooper, who is leaving for the Navy this month. The party was bittersweet as these boys have known each other since birth and would not be able to get together whenever they want. I was assured that they can still play video games together once Boot Camp is complete. Whew!

Safe travels Cooper!

We took a batch of senior photos. I can't actually believe we are here already (sniff, sniff)

Here's a pic of another culinary masterpiece from Presley's Baking & Desserts class: a fruit galette

Guess who was hired as the new Head Cheer Coach at Mt View?  Do I have time for this? Maybe not, but apparently I could only go a few months with only having 1 job.

So you know how I haven't had a lot of posts/pictures of my beloved first born? Well here's one! When Season 5 of Stranger Things released on Netflix the evening before Thanksgiving, this awesome guy waited for me to get home from work and eat dinner, then asked if I was ready to begin the series.  He had it cued up and everything!  We binged all the episodes and I was so touched that he thought to wait for me.

That's it for November!  Stay tuned for next month where Presley has her 1st volleyball tournament, my Cheer season starts, Teague prays for snow, Dylan resumes his referee career and Maddox keeps Target on track during this holiday season.
