Hello! Here are a few things that happened in September.
While cleaning out my late father's home, my sister, niece and I discovered some classic photos from my childhood. This is a pic of Christmas morning, but I have no idea what year it is from. I think I'm around 5 or 6
Presley is in full swing with Volleyball games each week.
Teague and I had an enjoyable night out at my favorite pizza place: The Hungry/Thirsty Sasquatch
Here are a couple of my favorite former cheerleaders at a recent game.
I was originally requested to report for Jury Duty in July, but I deferred it to September. I dutifully checked during my service week, but was spared reporting for duty.
One big event that happened at the end of the month was the Homecoming Dance at Mountain View High School. Presley was invited by her boyfriend, Tyson. They were both invited to an afternoon of Homecoming Prep with a bunch of their classmates beginning at 3pm. It was a whirlwind day and I hope they remember all the fun memories they made.
The first task of the afternoon was creating bouquets. Presley assembled her own bouquet earlier in the day at home to ensure she had access to the flowers she wanted and would be available to lend a hand to others at the pre-party festivities.
Next task: super cute hair
There was a nice (and not-too-heavy) buffet set up to make sure no one left on an empty stomach. Here's one of my favorite people responsible for this amazing day.
Here is a bunch of photos of Presley, Tyson and about 20 other friends as they prepare to head to the Homecoming Dance.
The whole gang
Here are a couple of (what the kids refer to as) Transitions that Presley and Tyson created on Homecoming night.
Here's a Transition Presley created with Avery since both of their pajamas were pink and their dresses were blue.
This is Presley with Mr. Frost at the Homecoming Dance who is a beloved teacher that all of the kids have had at Mountain View over the years. He is absolutely a family favorite; he emailed me this photo along with this sentiment, "Look who I ran into at homecoming! When it comes to having badass kids, you guys are 3/3....although this one has a little more sass than the boys!"
He got a job! To be fair, Dylan has had many jobs over the last couple of years, but this is his first permanent big-boy job. His title is Package Handler at a Fed-Ex warehouse in Oregon. He works about 30 hours a week and is excited to see some steady paychecks coming in. Good job, Buddy.
Those are the highlights for the month of September!
