Warning!!! Contains sad (but inspirational) material......

Today marks the 6-month passing of my much loved Mom. I think about her (and miss her terribly) everyday, but feel the need today to remind my loyal readers of how precious and short life is. One of the hardest parts for me to get over is the fact that she was in and out (mostly in) of the hospital the last few months and most likely could not help but think of what she would not get to do. My mom was a wonderful lady who grabbed every opportunity that came her way, but probably had millions of others she was never able to fulfill here on Earth.

My advice is simple (and I should follow it as well, as I'm just as guilty for not) : grab every opportunity, take too many photos, make too many calls to friends and family, travel every trip, give too many hugs, use every giftcard, burn every candle, buy too many ridiculous pairs of shoes, have too many kids, follow every instinct, you get the gyst. In short, get off your butt and start living!!!

OK, the lecture is over. God bless you all!

Very inspirational, sister. It's great that your mom lived life to the fullest while she could...

That was an awesome post! Everything you said is so true! Bless you too Nic! How's your Dad? My mom still has hard days and she feels lonely sometimes. The first year is the hardest because you are doing all the "stuff" you do without them for the first time. Hang in there.
