Christmas Meltdown

What's up? A check in.

Just some quick bits on what we're up to recently:

Teague is prepping for what he hopes will be a good snowfall later this week.  Some have reported snow today even, but I missed it (darn shower!).  The biggest prep was covering our water pipes and putting more insulation down to prevent any issues (see December's post for lessons learned).

I have taken a step back from a number of activities in an effort to soak up more spare time and eliminate unnecessary work while I'm staying home each day.  While busy patting myself on the back for my efficiency, I was asked to step onto a team at my church to handle social media and childcare for the Women's Ministry weekly Bible study.  It has been a very busy month with many details, but I think the program will be running itself soon and I can free up my schedule once again.

Maddox had his 1st basketball game this season and although the team lost (pretty badly) he got 4 points!  Very encouraging as he's one of the shorter kids on the team and the league includes 9 year olds.  The next day (Super Bowl) he vomited repeatedly and tried to rally upon seeing all the unhealthy snacks.  Luckily he felt better the next day.  He will also be starting Choir tomorrow.

Dylan was going to be starting gymnastics this week with his preschool friends, but the class is full so it doesn't look good.  He loves eating junk food and blaring the soundtrack for "Frozen".  He will be starting t-ball in March......oh boy....

Presley spent a day in total sickness where she looked like she had been run over by a truck.  She recently had a sleepover at Auntie Michele's house where she also enjoyed a trip to the movies the next day.  She loves helping out in the boys' classroom with Mommy every week and is obsessed with the movie "Diary of a Wimpy Kid."

That's all for now!  Enjoy your February  ❤️
