November 2017 Recap

Happy November!

Here's what the Rakoz Family has been up to this month.

This day off from school I finally mastered something I've always wanted to do well: french braids!  The first (& by 'first' I mean I've tried several times before) try was as ugly as it always is, but I humbly posted in on Facebook and asked the masses what I was doing wrong.  I got some great advice and this is the result.  I was thrilled!!!  And super proud I must say.

Later on that day we went to the mall and there were the most ridiculously cute 4 black kittens at the pet store.  Dylan was in absolute love and we both had a very hard time walking away from these precious babies.  Needless to say "cat/dog" was included in his list to Santa.  Again.

The boys' basketball seasons ended mid-month.  They both did so well.  There were a lot of games where Dylan was asked to join Maddox's team (which they very much needed) and I so enjoyed watching them play together.

The last practice of the season for Dylan's team there was a parent v team scrimmage.  Maddox helped out the parents and there was a lot of smack-talking.  While hard to admit, I am proud to say that I have an extremely hard time keeping up with Dylan on defense.  His crossovers and handles are sick!

Dylan and I continued our Thanksgiving morning tradition of passing out supplies to the homeless. Presley joined us for the first time this year and the weather was pretty great.  The kids were naturals and enjoyed the experience as much as I did.

My gorgeous children.  We have so much to be thankful for: we are healthy & happy.

On November 30th the Rakoz Family had a pretty big change.  Although the event took place in November, I will wait for the next post because photos must accompany.  There is a hint somewhere in this post.  Stay tuned........
