February 2018 At a Glance

Happy Spring!  Just kidding, we had a snow day last week.  That's not the only thing that happened this month.  See for yourself:

Here's a cute pic of the Twins....they are so adorable.  More often than not they are sleeping right next to or on top of each other. It's hard to tell where one ends and the other begins!

One Saturday Presley attended a dance clinic offered by our high school's Dance team.  She learned 2 dances and had a parent performance and was also invited to perform at a local dance competition.  Although she had some major stage freight before the dance competition performance, she rallied and did a great job.

One of my super fun friends helped cover a shift for the Security Guard at my school one day.....I love it when she's here!

Oh!  And the button I'm sporting?  I wore that to help spread awareness for the School Bond I mentioned last month.  And guess what?  It worked!  The bond was passed!!!  Woo-hoo!  Looks brand new schools for me and the kids!

Presley's class was celebrating 100 days of school and they were invited to dress like they were 100 years old.  Grandma helped majorly with some costumes.  Above is an outfit if she lived 100 years ago.  The outfit below is what she opted to wear.  You can't see her white hair very well, but she looked adorable!

And then the snow came!  Ironically a mere 5 days after we had taken our "built-in snow day" off of school.  Looks like we'll be tacking on another day to the end of the school year.

Here's a bunch of pics Daddy took with his new camera on an evening Snow Walk with the kids.

In our snow day traditional walk to Starbucks for hot cocoa, here's a pic of Dylan and Presley making snow angels in a nearby parking lot

During the last weekend of February, Dylan was invited to join one of our favorite coaches in a Basketball Tournament.  While the team was very young and very green, Dylan played 5 games over the weekend and picked up some great skills.

Here's a pic of Presley (purple and white striped hat and aqua shirt) in our local newspaper.  Each year during the birthday week of Dr. Seuss, Beaches Restaurant serves green eggs and ham to all the 1st graders and provides a Seuss-like cap for the kids to take home.  This is the last child to participate in this adorable tradition.

So those are the highlights for February.  Stay tuned for March where Dylan will finish up his community center basketball season and begin baseball.  Maddox has elected to play basketball instead this spring and his season starts in April.  Until then.....
