August always catches the Rakoz peeps grasping that last bit of sun and preparing for school and the fall sports season.
I never grew tired of spending time on my paddle board this summer. It's only been a month and I miss it so much already!
Here's a pic of P enjoying the last days of summer at the lake.
During one of our last trips she caught the eye of a boy who spent the afternoon trying to impress her.
Celebrated one of my favorite people having fabulous cocktails on the river at The Deck. Why have I not ever been here before???
Presley has been looking forward to celebrating the Double Digits for a super long time. I tried my best to make this a really great birthday for her.
These days she is completely obsessed with sloths.
This is just an adorable (and typical) pics of the cats enjoying a load of warm towels. It's rare they will tolerate sharing, but I was able to capture this amusing moment.
Presley and I started a new tradition this year by celebrating our birthdays with manis and pedis.
The last day of August was the first day of school. This year is Presley's last year of elementary school. She has her best friend in her class, for the first time ever, and she is excited to rule the school.
Daddy is so nice to take a very early morning photo for our 1st day.
This Mr. Handsome is starting his last year of middle school and is fully expecting to dominate everything.
This guy is starting his sophomore year and has no real opinion on it. Teenagers, am I right??
Sadly I completely failed to capture a lot of other things going on in our family. Daddy fell victim to a bout of COVID and felt depleted of all energy while earning himself a work quarantine for 2 weeks after coming back from a work trip. I think the loss of taste was especially hard on him. The kids all started Fall sports and the family activities went from 0-60 in record time. Who am I kidding....I love it.
Stay tuned for September fun and all its glory!
