Happy March everyone! Here is what the Rakoz Family was up to this month.
Dylan is wrapping up his 8th grade year and heading to join Maddox at Mountain View High School next fall. In order to prepare for this move, the 8th graders were forecasting and representatives from Mountain View came over to guide the students into their class selections. One of the representatives happen to be someone that Teague went to high school with so I decided to grab a picture.
My coworker, Randy, upgraded his home popcorn machine and donated his older popcorn machine to the office where we have quickly constituted Popcorn Friday. This is a tradition that I am loving and my other coworker, Lisa, custom made my own popcorn bucket.
This month, somebody very important turned 50! Here’s a few snapshots of how we celebrated this amazing man. Happy 50th birthday Teague!
Photo cred for this gem: Rhacelle
Drinks at the Thirsty Sasquatch with the Beardmores.
The next day we went to Edgefield for some shuffleboard and cocktails.
Here’s a random pic that was texted to us of Maddox walking to class.
One afternoon I went over to help Presley’s class with their forecasting for middle school. Before we got started, I was able to see her jamming’ in her music class.
One Friday we had the day off so Presley and I spent time shopping at Cascade Station. We were thrilled to see that there is a Crumbl store going in!
Teague and I went to another 50th birthday celebration for our friend, Sara. Sara is the one that introduced us to each other so she has been there from the beginning.
I had to take a picture of the fact that Coco was actually snuggling on me. Diesel can always be found snuggling with me, but Coco steers clear. This was a rare occasion for sure.
Cooper Beardmore turned 16 this month and both boys were invited to join him for his celebration which was rock climbing at The Source. Maddox declined to give it a try, but Dylan made it up to the very top on his first attempt.
If I have an empty day on the weekends, you will see me downstairs working on this 3000 piece puzzle of The Office. My goal is to finish it, hopefully before August, glue it together and hang it on the wall in my office at work. Wish me luck!
This month I got a new job! I am now the cheer coach at my middle school. The squad has already had a winter season, so I am stepping in for spring season and the squad is already in place. I’m looking forward to shaking my poms again as I start this new role.
While I am busy with cheerleaders, Dylan will be helping out the football team this year. Although he is still very devastated that he has not been cleared to resume athletic activities, the coach is letting him be half manager/half player so Dylan gets to practice and learn a lot of what they’re doing so he is ready for football in the fall at Mountain View.
Well dance season officially ended last month, but it took us this long to have our wrapup party. Here’s a picture of the 8th graders that are moving onto high school next year. It was a pretty fun season.
That’s it from March 2022! April starts off with Spring Break and then sports will be blowing up. Presley is playing softball this spring and is already a leader as the top pitcher and trying her hand at catching as well. Between her games, Dylan’s football, and my cheerleaders (which cheer for three different sports), April is going to be very busy! And that’s just the way I like it. See ya!
