August 2022

Happy August!  It has been a nice, warm summer and I couldn't be more happy about that....until I had to head back to work.

Here's a pic of me and Lisa, friend and co-worker getting our paddle board on at Round Lake

It was such a hot summer and we did our best to enjoy these days at Battle Ground Lake.  It was extra awesome if we had the Smiths join us.

Such a fun float buddy!

You know we need to stop for snacks at Hockinson Market after a beautiful day at the lake.

I can't even talk about it.

This is what my August looks like.....every. single. August.  Once I head back to work for the school year, I'm putting in multiple hours of overtime every single night.  In a little over 2 weeks, I earned 80+ hours of comp time.  Not sure it's worth it, but if I have to do the work anyway, I might as well get 2 more weeks of vacation!

Back at work and loving it.  This summer our offices got new carpeting, but it was not complete by the time I started back at work.  I've been working out of boxes for over 3 weeks!

Someone turned 11 this month!  She is about to start middle school and looks more mature every day.  I love her so much!  In this pic, she is enjoying the peanut butter brownies she made herself!

Post church coffee date.

Birthday Girl and Grandpa

We gathered at a friend's house to enjoy a visit from the Christies, Jim and Jennifer.  Jim is known for being a real-life Top Gun instructor in a former career. We don't get to see them very often, but 'tis a good time when we do.

Still friends after 30+ years

Date Night with the Beardmores found us at Grassa (my new fave) and Waterfront Taphouse.

Dylan and I got a sneak peek at the new Mountain View High School after a football parent meeting.  These boys are so lucky to have a brand new building to attend.

This guy has been putting in the work on the football field this summer. I can't wait to see him compete after waiting all these years.

I got this text from Dylan while he was at his Freshman Orientation.  Where's Waldo Teague?

While I was at work, Teague treated the kids to the Clark County Fair for snacks, games and Tuff Trucks. All I got was this cheezy photo.....love it!

Me and Diesel. No, he's not enjoying himself in this pic, but I just love him so much.

Presley and I attended our church picnic with the Smith Family.  There were lots of activities and snacks with the most beautiful weather.

Highlight of the picnic was a selfie with Pastor Daniel.  Presley was fangirling for sure!

I've been wanting to create a birthday bulletin board at my school for years, but this year I finally made it happen.  Actually, Presley did all the cut-outs and Maddox actually put the board together while I was working, in trade for a ride to tennis practice.  He did such a good job!

Here's a pic taken at my school during the first week.  Cutie on the right.

And off we go into the 2022-2023 school year!  Stay tuned next month where all the sports competitions start and I have to pick and choose between Track Meets, Tennis Matches, and Football Games.  I'm exhausted already!
