Oh my goodness, September was so crazy busy! As I load up the photos I took from the month of September, I realize that while the month was crazy busy, we all basically did the same things....over and over....so there isn't a huge variety of pictures. We got settled in school and I drove the kids all over town getting them to Track, Tennis and Football. Here's what the Rakoz Family was up to:
This photo makes my heart super happy. This boy has been wanting to play Football FOREVER! After all the injuries, preparation and conditioning, Dylan is ready to take his place on the field. He is playing outside linebacker (defensive back), and is on the kick return special team.
Here's Presley getting ready for her 1st Track Meet of middle school. She runs the 100m dash, 200m dash, and participates in the long jump. This 1st meet she was on the 4x100m relay, but that was the only meet for that event. We would rather have the opportunity to leave the meet when her events are done rather than waiting until the relay events at the end. The first meet she ran we didn't get home until 8pm! The meet was also on the same day as Dylan's 1st game, so Teague and I had to split....me at Track and Teague at Football
Here's Maddox playing tennis. He gets matched up against pretty easy competitors so he is winning a lot. I hope he's having as much fun playing as I am watching him.
Getting him to stand still for this pic was a lot harder than it needed to be. Grateful for any small indulgence I can get! He even let me buy him a new/his own racquet (finally!) after years of offering.
Even tho my birthday was 2 months ago, my sweet friends had a belated bday fiesta for me.
Here's a great pic of Presley at long jump.
One of Dylan's football games was against Hanford which was HOURS away. The teams didn't get home until the wee hours of the next morning and I was the lucky driver that got to pick him up from the school. If you look closely, you can see that the clock says 3:28am *yawn*
Presley also had her first paying gig this month: she was pet-sitting sweet Juniper, her cousin's cat, while they were in Florida for a week. Each day we spent time with Juniper, playing, cleaning the cat box, and feeding her. Clarification: Presley did all the work. I literally sat in a chair and let her earn the money herself. She took it very seriously and looked forward to it each day. It was a pretty fun job.
We also made sure to text pics of Juniper to her mom and dad
I managed to squeeze a Cricut project in for Dylan for his workouts
Dylan volunteered at a youth football tournament and got to work the chain. The weather was great and he had a lot of fun
Here are some action shots of Dylan's games
The last day of the month was Mountain View High School's Homecoming Game. Teague and I met the Beardmores and were joined by the Gardners to cheer on the mighty Thunder. Dylan was chosen to be on the filming crew for all of the Varsity games so he popped down to chat before the game and at halftime.
*NOT PICTURED*
Maddox passed all of his driver's exams and is now a licensed driver!
The end of this month kept me busy as I held Cheer Tryouts for middle school and Presley made the last minute decision to try out. Stay tuned to find out if she made the squad. Also stay tuned for Maddox getting his license from the DMV.
That's it! Until next month......
