Happy November! Here's what happened in our lives this month.
Once again Presley put herself out there and tried out for the Dance Team. Everyone interested had a spot on the Hip Hop Crew, but the Lyrical Company is a more elite team and she made the cut!
Between this and Cheer she is just as busy as I am.
Although I don't receive them as often as I used to, I always cherish a good Maddox-Diesel text (this is in my room by the way)
I received this text from Teague one evening/morning during one of his Ilani Casino trips.
Seriously, doesn't it look like Diesel is holding my hand? Love this sweet boy.
One rule in my house: if it is discovered while doing your laundry, it's mine. Thanks for the tip Dylan!
The first time the boys drove my car to school for the day I was pretty nervous (for my car, not the boys). Thankful for this pic showing that Maddox's parking is getting a lot better. It really helps that the permanent parking lot is not yet done and this temporary lot isn't used by very many students.
Guess who got his 1st job!? He actually started mid-November and they gave him a lot of hours right off the bat. I feel like I've been training him to grocery shop since he was 2!
Isn't this precious?
After chauffeuring him around from school and work after a few days, we quickly focused on Phase 3 of the plan: introducing........Vinny the Veloster!
I'm taking full advantage of his love of driving Vinny by using him to transport Dylan wherever needed.
Right before Thanksgiving Break, Presley and I attended Shahala's Fall Fest. I helped chaperone the dance portion, but the highlight was the Pie-in-the-Face event. Presley had won the opportunity to 'pie' a fellow track teammate, but my face remained clean. Perhaps I put out too much of a scary vibe?? Students definitely know not to mess with me.
Happy Thanksgiving! Although Dylan and Presley were under the weather with colds (and had their own 'kid's table' across the room), we had a wonderful feast at Grandma Dorette's house with the Andersons and the Faircloughs. This was the only picture I remembered to take.
Presley and I continued our tradition of visiting our fave consignment store for Small Business Saturday. Of course we grabbed a warm beverage and waited outside in order to secure one of the first 25 swag bags.
This bag sale allowed us to stuff WHATEVER WE WANTED full to the brim of the store provided bag for $20. A total steal!
We also love supporting one of our favorite people in her element.
Later on I saw Haute Madre had advertised some shoes we donated (donation cred: Grandma for the cheetah print booties) on Intstagram
That's it for November! We are all looking forward to Christmas and especially Winter Break. Let's hope it's the best Christmas season yet!
