July 2025

Welcome July!  July is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE month of the year, and not just because it's my birthday month. It's the month that has the best weather, I have the month off of work and I can vary my workouts. It's perfect!  This year was no exception.

This is the how I spent every weekday during the month of July......90 minutes of tennis, then hours at the amazing saltwater pool at Club Green Meadows

On the days I was at the club alone, I used the ball machine for my 90-minute tennis session. In order to remember my settings, I took a pic

The water at the pool was slightly cooler than normal which was very refreshing on the hot July days.

The best part about the pool was that it never got too crowded. I always got a chair and table for prime tanning

July 4th this year had absolutely perfect weather--not too hot for my family, but not cold at all. Here are some pics from our annual family party

'Merica

Teague, Dorette (Grandma), Rhacelle, and Jeff

Jake, Briar, Baby Fairclough, and me

Presley was so excited to help the boys bring in the Chick-Fil-A nuggets, she could barely control herself

and things went flying

Maddox and Sweet Chloe

Presley has been spending a lot of time having fun with her Church friends and special events the Students Ministry is putting on

This was a s'mores party one Wednesday night that she enjoyed with her friends

One week she was a guest sportscaster at a Volleyball tournament with Pastor Jamin

Ironically, one of the friends she's been growing closer to over the last year is Bethany. As I was going through old Facebook memories, I came across a pic of Presley with Bethany from forever ago. I would guess they were probably around 3 years old here

Here are our annual photos on 7/11 Free Slurpee Day. This year for me it was Blue Raspberry Lemonade Hawaiian Punch for the win

Unfortunately, my strings took a beating from my amazing tennis skills.  Luckily we have lots of spare rackets

Fun Quiz: Which Rakoz offspring does this sound like?

Dylan had 7-on-7 tournaments every Wednesday night this month. He got a lot of playing time and the weather was crazy hot

Dylan's football team has a side competition going on during their daily lifting/conditioning. The highest ranking Dylan's team has gotten this far is 4th, but he still has a few weeks left on final standings. Of course my competitive side compels me to nag him to accrue more points (which I'm sure he loves)

The merch drop this month at Dutch Bros was a small cup floatie

In a rare public outing, we headed to the movies. I personally love going to the movies. The teen generation doesn't seem to get too excited about it. We saw the latest Jurassic World and hit Candy Tyme at the mall for snacks

Teague and I joined Ryan and Amber at Edgefield for a round of Par 3 golf and dinner. It was super hot this day, but we played decently considering it's been 2 decades since we've played

Presley joined me for a day trip to Kah-nee-ta on my birthday. We spent hours playing water volleyball and enjoying the resort. This is definitely one of my favorite places on earth

I was very grateful for the company

The weather was 81 degrees which definitely called for slushy drinks

Although I forgot to take pictures of the outing, Presley and I met Michele and Kaitlyn for lunch to celebrate my birthday at the Cheesecake Factory

I had the good fortune to meet up with some cherished friends this month that I have not seen in forever!  In this instance, I met up with my beloved college twin, Julia!  We chatted for hours and still never caught completely up.

Teague did a lot of grilling this summer. Although I suggested to Dylan that he pay attention and pick up some BBQ skills, this is the most interested he appeared on learning how to grill

Dylan's Varsity jersey finally came in. Go Thunder!

So excited their names are printed on the jerseys this year!

Teague and I took a walk along the Heritage Trail.....and we didn't get lost this time!

Presley wrapped up July at her favorite place on earth: Church Camp!  She wanted to get checked in as early as possible so she was one of the first campers to arrive at the church for send off. Could that smile be any bigger????

This year she went to the High School camp which took place over 5 full days.

She was lucky enough to get Bri as her cabin counselor which is one of her very favorite people. Here are all her cabin-mates

These airpods have been missing since June. I tried hunting them down for hours, days, and weeks, including using the Find My ... app, but was unsuccessful. It wasn't until I put on my hardly-ever-worn jean jacket that I finally found them!

Michele and Kaitlyn joined me for a Pool Day at the club. In order to prepare for our fun day, we got our exercise in by walking up to Dutch Bros for some energy

They had never been inside a Dutch Bros before and my location is the absolute best

It was a sun-filled, tennis-filled, football-filled, Church-filled, amazing month...one of the best I've had in a long time. I'm very sad to see it end.

'til next time!
